John Zobolas is a postdoctoral researcher in clinical AI at the Department of Cancer Genetics at Oslo’s Institute for Cancer Research. He has a background in computer science, with diverse expertise in computational modeling, software engineering, survival analysis and statistical/machine learning. His research focuses on software implementations and AI modeling for the prediction of patient survival using multi-omics data. He is the current developer and maintainer of mlr3proba, an R package for ML-based survival analysis and probabilistic learning.
John Zobolas is at CAS upon the invitation of Dr. Andreas Bender (CAS Researcher in Residence/LMU) during the winter semester 2024/25.
